For every trip or indoor session, under 16s need to bring a form signed by a parent or carer.
When we do youth work on the streets, we work in pairs or teams, carry ID and wear t-shirts or jackets with the New Team logo on them.
All youth work volunteers, trustees and workers are members of the PVG scheme.

Project Leader
🥁 Louise – Project Leader
I like doing craft and going for long walks by the sea or in a forest. I love learning drums even though I’m not really musical. I love youth work in Govan. The best part of following Jesus is knowing he loves me whether I’m feeling loveable or not! I studied youth work at International Christian College but I’ve learned most about youth work from young people.

Ellen – Secretary
Ellen worked part-time for New Team as a youth worker and administrator from the autumn of 2020 to the summer of 2022 while she was studying languages and then Adult Learning, Community Development & Youth Work. She works for a social enterprise that provide “tailored support to social enterprises, community groups and charities to help them towards greater sustainability and effectiveness.” She’s known on the youth work team for her mini golf win on a staff night out. She enjoys being part of a musical theatre club and going to concerts of her favourite pop star! As well as being a trustee, Ellen volunteers as a youth worker for New Team.
Grace – Trustee
I am a full-time mum with 3 young children. In the past I worked as a primary school teacher and will go back to work once my children are older. I like to be outdoors, walking or cycling and enjoy exploring Scotland. We have a campervan and are looking forward to the nice weather so we can go on some adventures. We are part of a local church and I am on the crèche team which is lots of fun.
🎮 Carys – Trustee
Carys worked with New Team as a part-time youth worker 2019 to 2023. From 2025 she has returned as a trustee. She works for a Christian charity that aims to end UK poverty. Carys enjoys exploring new villages with her husband- especially charity shops and cafes. When she’s at home she loves playing games on her Nintendo Switch and reading fantasy books.
